Absentee Voting for the Presidential Nomination Primary
Residents may vote by absentee ballot for any election. Absentee ballots will be available 45 days prior to the election.
Applying To Vote Absentee
To receive an absentee ballot, you'll need to complete an absentee ballot application. Once your completed and signed application is received, your absentee ballot will be mailed to you with instructions. There are several ways to apply for an absentee ballot:
- Online at https://mnvotes.sos.mn.gov/abrequest/index
- In Person at City Hall during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m. M-F) begins on Friday, January 19th and runs through March 4th at 5:00 p.m. for the Presidential Nomination Primary. Additional Absentee Voting will occur on Saturday March 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Track Your Absentee Ballot
You can track your absentee ballot using the Absentee Ballot Status Lookup feature on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
