Utility Billing
The City of Mound provides water, sanitary sewer and stormwater services. The city also contracts with Republic Services to provide
recycling services to Mound residential properties. City utility bills are billed quarterly for residential and multi-family accounts and monthly for commercial accounts. Sewer bills are based on water consumption.

Water Meters
Water usage is measured with water meters. These meters are generally located inside a building on the main water pipe. From time to time, utility personnel may have to gain access to a property to repair or replace a water meter. Proper notice is given ahead of time.
Deduct Meters - Outside Water Use
The City of Mound offers deduct meters to purchase for properties that use outside water. This separate deduct meter measures water used specifically for outside purposes. There is no associated sanitary sewer charge because this water does not drain into that system.
Note: Deduct meters are required for all new buildings.
