The City of Mound maintains 38 parks and open spaces within the community. The quality of recreational facilities in the community directly contribute to quality of life. Parks & Open Spaces Department Responsibilities
The Department maintains and supports the following activities: Beaches, Boulevards, Cemetery Open Space, City Buildings, City Docks, City Gardens/Planters/Grounds, City Trees, Parks, Playgrounds, and More. 

Adopt A Green Space Program
Through the Parks & Open Spaces Commission, the city invites individuals or groups to help care for neighborhood parks and open spaces. Participants commit to activities like picking up litter at a minimum of once a month. To learn more, visit the Adopt a Green Space Program page. 

Surfside Park: Depot Rental
The city makes available the Surfside Park Depot at Surfside Park for Rentals. The Surfside Park Depot is a popular community building space available for celebrations and/or gatherings like graduation parties, birthday parties, or showers.
