The City of Mound has begun the construction portion of the Water Treatment Infrastructure Improvements Project Phase 2. This project includes the replacement and upsizing of water transmission mains from the tower on Evergreen Road, heading east to Bartlett Boulevard and on CSAH 110 up to Old Shoreline Drive (just south of the stoplights).
Proposed improvements include:
- Replacement of existing watermains, mainly by trenchless methods
- Replacement of water services
- Restoration of disturbed pavements, sidewalks and turf areas

Here is what residents need to know for this week, May 25 - June 1:
- Work will begin on Stage 3 of the project area (located on the map above in yellow).
- Crews will be working on the shoulders of Bartlett Blvd, in front of Surfside park.
- Signage to indicate road closures will be installed, and a full closure of Bartlett Blvd will begin June 1, and go until July 10.
- Work in the neighborhood near Sorbo park will be ongoing.
Throughout the project, the City's website will be updated with the ongoing impacts to residents. You can also stay informed of project updates on the City's
Facebook and
Instagram pages.
