The City of Mound has a Council/Manager form of government. The City Council meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in regular session. The following Advisory Commissions are recommending bodies to the City Council;  the Parks and Open Space Commission meets the 2nd Thursday of the month on an as-needed basis and considers all matters pertaining to parks and open space; the Docks and Commons Commission  meets the 3rd Thursday of the month on an as-needed basis and considers all matters pertaining to the City-owned Docks and Commons; and  the Planning Commission meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month and considers all matters pertaining to planning and zoning.
