ACCOUNTANT

Mound (pop. 9,800), a west-metro community located on Lake Minnetonka, is seeking a candidate to join our Finance team as a full-time Accountant.  This position works under the general guidance and direction of the Finance Director and in cooperation with the Payroll, UB and Accounts Payable clerks. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; 2 yrs municipal finance or accounting; 2 yrs exp w/ Governmental Accounting Standards Board & its pronouncements; 2 yrs complex spreadsheet & accounting software; 2 yrs MS office products; written/verbal communications skills; MN driver’s license/ability to attain.  Preferred: Higher degree/CPA; supervisory exp; public utilities exp; payroll exp; risk mgmt exp; cash/investment management exp; budget management exp; project & fixed asset accounting exp; IT exp; grants admin exp; knowledge of Banyon Data Systems; motivated to obtain CPA.

Salary range:  $52,002-58,495 per year, DOQ + benefits (position is non-exempt)
